Hello,
I need to compare the output from several color sublimation
printers. I do not know if this is a FAQ but...
Are there site which have 24 bit color images of full page
high resolution test images (maybe 4k by 4k pixels )? I was hoping for
images with bright colors, areas with continuous shading, and some
fine sharp boundary lines.

I've put the picture of the Mandrill up for anon ftp on
popeye.genie.uottawa.ca, in /pub/pics. The image is 512x512x24 bits. Both
a Jpeg-ized (Q=75) and the ppm version are there.

In response to people looking for 24 bit colour images: I found a good site to be: ftp.ipl.rpi.edu:/pub/image/still/usc/color They have images such as lenna, peppers, f16 etc. They are in Sun raster format, but this can be converted to ppm using the ppm tool rasttoppm. -Paul Sommers paul@monet.uwaterloo.ca -- Paul Sommers | "Television. Here's a recursive listing of the stuff in the still image archive we use in the ipl. We are always looking for more images especially high quality research ones. For those looking for R and X rated images, don't waste your time here. The files '*girl*' and 'hustler' are just test images with misleading names.
