Hello all, I am working in the area of using computer vision to inspect and grade grain. We are interested in adding x-ray capability to our laboratory so I would appreciate the advice of anyone with experience with x-ray imaging. -Is anyone out there using or attempted to use x-rays to look at seeds (ie. hidden insects, cracks, germination, etc)? -Would it be possible to use CT to obtain a cross-section of a bulk of grain, say a cylinder the diameter of a coke can? -Would it be possible to obtain a CT scan of a single kernel, approximately 6 mm long x 2 mm in dia? Please email me with any ideas, comments, or advice you may have. Thanks -JLH __________________________________________________________________ Jeff L.
