Hi, I'm involved in a project where the main aim to scan cinema pictures, so it will be possible to overlay the pictures with some graphics.\ The negative of the film is scanned seperatly with red, green and blue light. The problem now is to reconstruct the picture (from the scanned RGB data) with the original colors. This is a problem because the film material react differently to different colors. Does anyone out there know how to do the color correction after the scanning of the film material (making it first of all possible to see the scanned result)? Do you have any hint on papers or any suggestions, please reply here or email to roxx@diku.dk. Finn.

Are you scanning negative or positive material? The corection will also depend on film type used for output. including type of film etc will help the answer ~Paul
