defining an area of interest

Hello,

I am writting some code to patch into a program at work.
Right now we are able to define an area of interest of a
box/rectangle and line. With this info we produce histograms
of the defined AOI. We would like to add an AOI of a circle.
Now drawing the circle is no problem, but how do I go about
figuring out all the coordinates of the interior of the circle?
The coordinates are necessary since we use extended memory
to hold the image. Once I get the coords the pixels are no
problems.

So has anyone written C code or an algorithm to do this.

TIA,
paul
