Is there a listserve bulletin board for scientific image processing? Could
someone provide me with the relevant information?
Thanks in Advance.

Here is the message I received when I signed on to IMAGE-L. Note that this is an obsolete version of the Listserv software (1.3), and does not work very well. I had a lot of trouble getting things like the list of subscribers or back issues. Date: Thu, 11 Jun 92 13:52:04 TUR From: ListEARN List Processor <LISTSERV@TREARN.BITNET> (1.3) Subject: Your subscription to list IMAGE-L To: Edward Huff <HUFF@MCCLB0.MED.NYU.EDU> Dear networker, Your subscription to list IMAGE-L (Image Processing And Applications) has been accepted. You may leave the list at any time by sending a "SIGNOFF IMAGE-L" command to LISTSERV@TREARN. Please note that this command must NOT be sent to the list address (IMAGE-L@TREARN) but to the ListEARN address (LISTSERV@TREARN). The amount of acknowledgement you wish to receive from this list upon completion of a mailing operation can be changed by means of a "SET IMAGE-L option" command, where "option" may be either "ACK" (mail acknowledgement), "MSGACK" (interactive messages only) or "NOACK". Contributions sent to this list are automatically archived. You can obtain a list of the available archive files by sending an "INDEX IMAGE-L" command to LISTSERV@TREARN. These files can then be retrieved by means of a "GET IMAGE-L filetype" command, or using the database search facilities of ListEARN. Send an "INFO DATABASE" command for more information on the latter. Please note that it is presently possible for anybody to determine that you are signed up to the list through the use of the "REVIEW" command, which returns the network address and name of all the subscribers. If you do not wish your name to be available to others in this fashion, just issue a "SET IMAGE-L CONCEAL" command. More information on ListEARN commands can be found in the "General Introduction guide", which you can retrieve by sending an "INFO GENINTRO" command to LISTSERV@TREARN. 1. This newsgroup is gopher-able from skyking.oce.orst.edu, port 70,
with a local wais index.
2. I extracted this list of mailinglists from the master List of Mailing
Lists back when this newsgroup was being formed. Note that the last
entry on this list is hardware specific and has had no traffic in the
last 6 months. This file is available 1) under the above mentioned
gopher, and 2) via ftp from ruby.oce.orst.edu in
pub/sci.image.processing/other.mailing.lists. (Warning: all anonymous
frp transactions are logged and require a valid user/host as a

The PUBLISH mailing list is for discussion of the role of computers,
specifically workstations, in book, magazine, newspaper, and other
publishing. It also covers specific publishing-related implementation
questions, including, but not limited to:
* Printing and Scanning
* Raster Image Processing
* Text Tools
* Image Processing
* Document management
* Available Software and Hardware
* High-Bandwidth Interfaces
* Integration with Personal Computers
It is NOT a programming or system administration forum, although discussion
will sometimes touch on these subjects.
The charter of this list is certainly subject to modification through the
general agreement of the members. Other suggested topics are welcome.
Here are the relevant Internet mail addresses for PUBLISH:
publish@chron.com submissions
publish-request@chron.com requests to be deleted & added
To join the list, send mail to publish-request@chron.com.
Before sending a request to be deleted from the list, check with your
local "postmaster" to see if you are receiving the messages via a
local redistribution alias. If you are, then your local postmaster
can remove you from the list far more effectively and quickly than I can.
This list is NOT moderated! Anything mailed to the submissions address will
be echoed to everyone on the list. Every potential poster is on his or her
honor to not abuse this list! Messages sent to this list are archived,
but are not yet publically available. Do not ask for old messages - the
archive will eventually be made available and an announcement will be made.
Please DO NOT mail "please remove me" requests to the submissions address!
Please publicize this list! The more people that are on it, the more useful
it will be.

parallel/concurrent/distributed processing. Additionally it serves as a
medium for users of the AMT DAP but is not restricted to this machine.
Contributions to the list are invited from all persons involved in parallel
processing.
Archives are kept monthly and can be obtained directly from the
subscription address.
BitNet users may subscribe by sending the following command via interactive
message or e-mail to LISTSERV@IRLEARN:
