I tried to down load the binaries for the sgi4d from ftp.sdsc.edu. I have gotten the files onto the target machine but am having trouble expanding them. They are in .z (little z) format so I assume the are packed not compressed. Can someone tell me what format they are actually in. I no longer have the posting announcing Imtools if some one could send it to me I would appreciate that also. Thanks in advance Bob

If you have then a simple uncompress command should work. Will try to ftp one tomm. and see if i can decipher anything and will get back to you across e-mail. good luck Hemant Singh EE /UMCP

All I did was change all of the '.z's into '.Z's and 'uncompress'ed them. No problem for me. Dan Pape
