How can I convert a SUN rasterfile (of depth 8 and a RGB color map) to separate YUV components. Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

pbmplus does it.

	rasttoppm foo | ppmtoyuv > bar

Fish up pbmplus at your favorite FTP site (wuarchive.wustl.edu, for
instance).  It also comes with the contributed files in the X11R5 distribution.
