Galore is from the Gaelic "gu leo\r" 
leo\r = (feminine noun) sufficiency, enough, a bellyful
gu  forms "gu leo\r" into an adjective

Adjectives in Gaelic generally come after the noun - maybe this is why
"galore" comes after nouns in English.
