I've been trying to calmly read through this thread but I can't go on without
responding to this second Cohen posting.  I'm a Southern California native
(of 50 years).  My Parents grew up here too.  My father (who grew up in Downey)
was in 4-H and FFA.  I grew up among orange trees.  People were friendly, courteous,
and helpful.  We never locked our car or house.  California drivers had a nation-
wide reputation for being some of the best and most courteous drivers.  Then came
the "foreigners".  People like you have turned paradise into hell.  What you think of
as "native" Californians are really transplants like yourself.  Thanks to you and
people like you I now live in an overcrowded, hostile, aggressive, abusive community
...just like New York.
