There are only 10 types of people: those that understand binary, and
those that don't.

First, let us consider the difference between a
system of notation (e.g. Roman or Arabic
numerals, the Latin alphabet, the Hebrew or Greek
alphabets etc.) and a language. Most of the
world's languages have no unique or native
system of notation.

Indeed.
If only he could think of a numerical system in which
one plus one equals ten. When he does, he will gain
admission into the Binary Nirvana through which he can
ascend (while sidestepping the evil brothers Trinary
and Ternary of the Nibble Family) straight into the
Eighth Heaven of Octal System.

Bad News Brother

Then Octal Dispensation is no more.

We are in the Hexadecimal dispensation now.

And we desperately need better symbols for eleven, twelve, thirteen,
fourteen and fifteen.
