Nothing special about the main diagonal by the way, > It's just the diagonal I happened to choose. The entire point of giving you a diagonal only seems to be lost on you. Start with an infinite plane of random digits with the digits concealed. L xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx You ask me for a digit in position 1. I select a row and reveal that digit. You ask me for a digit in position 2. I select a row and reveal that digit. and so on. I use a system where row n is guaranteed to be selected within n^2 digits of the given component of the diagonal. If you claim any generalised diagonal from L is sufficient to provide a missing real, then so is the above procedure.
