Repeat.
It made no sense to send MEN to the moon at that time,
it was and is dangerous , expensive and of no scientific purpose.
It was a public relations exercise, so all the above hold no weight.

SIgh. Evidence of products resulting from the program. Evidence that
has a direct effect on their lives whereas evidence on the moon is
mostly unverifiable and most of the actual lunar related scientific results
have
had little or no impact on our lives.

Whether the landings were a hoax or not makes bugger-all difference,
we still have velcro.

Most of the footprints are mostly erased by now, the ascent stage
engine plume probably got most of them.

Evidence of hardware? The hoaxers would have they were soft
landed by unmanned craft. ( to do that they would have to
at least conceed that it was technically possible , first step )

As for whatever footprints remain, who is to say the lander didn't carry
a mechanical pogo-stick with boots? Once finished all contradicitng
evidence gathered into a mole canister which then screwed itself
deep into the crust? Or sent to the location designated for
ascent-stage/evidence-eraser impact?

build yourself a laser.

Maybe those laser rnagefinders have been quietly welding lunar dust
to create 'evidence' all these years?
