No, Hexadecimal is base 16, not 14.  The number 16D is not equal to
10H, for 16D equates to 365 in decimal, and 10H isn't a valid
number in base 16 because the only available digits are
"0123456789ABCDEF" (and if one ignores the "H" then 10 equates to
16 in decimal).

It appears that the "D" and "H" in Krevo's post were not intended to
be digits, rather indicating the base in which the associated
numerals are written; I understood the first statement to say that
"16" in decimal refers to the same number as "10" in hexademical --
which is indeed true.

I agree, thanks.  (Normally decimal doesn't need to be indicated, and
typically isn't because of the ambiguity it leads to, plus the
designating letters are normally expressed in lower case.  It was
obviously a mistake to take him literally.)
