The correct answer was:  "on 8th of the 8th 2012".

when I took this photo of the 12 pointed star

However, when trying to work out the nature of the 12 points, I
incorrectly visualised the wrong polygon equation (2 concentric
squares + 1 concentric square and diagonal square) instead of the
actual 2 concentric diagonal squares which only makes  8+4=12.
