Much of the work on domain decomposition has been published in the
proceedings of a series of special conferences. The first
one is (%E = editor, %B= title of book, %I=publisher)
%E R. Glowinski
%E G. H. Golub
%E G. A. Meurant
%E J. Periaux
%B Domain decomposition methods for partial differential equations
%I SIAM
%C Philadelphia
%P 144-172
%D 1988

The third was
%E T. F Chan
%E R. Glowinski
%E J. Periaux
%E O. B. Widlund
%B Third International symposium on domain decomposition methods for
partial differential equations
%I SIAM
%C Philadelphia
%P 224-231
%D 1990

I believe there was a fourth conference in 1992. The proceedings should
be available from SIAM.
