MATLAB is available for Convex 3840 (super)computers. Personally, I am no user of MATLAB. I know that it is a product which is good for PC's and workstations, but I wonder if it has sense to implement it on a Convex. It depends on whether MATLAB is used for compute- and memory- intensive work (real number crunching), or whether it is used (in practice) only for small and/or moderate problems. I would appriciate if some experienced people react on this question. -- * Han de Bruijn; Applications&Graphics | "A little bit of Physics * No * TUD Computing Centre; P.O.
