Any information concerning to the following question
would be greatly appreciated.
Suppose A1 and A2 are square matrices. Under what conditions, if any, are the
eigen vectors of the two matrices same?
Strang gives one answer: IF the matrices are diagonalizable, they have the
same eigenvectors if and only if A1*A2 = A2*A1.
What happens if they are not diagonalizable?
