I would like to know if anyone knows how statistically something is determined to be a trend over time. Is this a question of regression, analysis of variane, some sort of time series analysis or what. I would greatly appreciate any help/references that anyone could provide. I can be contacted via e-mail at bomar@mizar.usc.edu. Thank you very much.
