I need a program which will estimate a spline transformation
for a variable and subsequently give *predictions* for additional
observations based on the estimated spline.
I've checked SAS, S, BLSS, IMSL Fortran library, etc. with no success.
A professor pointed me to netlib@research.att.com and to look
in the "pppack" directory. However, I wonder if there are
statistical packages or programs already written out there
that will provide what I need?
