Overnight I received three replies informing that my local bookseller had given me bad advice. Cox & Hinley's Theoretical Statistics is still in print. I just ordered a copy from Chapman & Hall, the publisher, at 212-244-6412. Chapman & Hall informed me that the solution manual went out-of-print this last January. Thanks to T.S. Lim, Jose Albert, and Ron Thisted for setting me straight. -Rich Sutton
