Hi, I have (I hope) a simple question: Say I have n samples Y1, Y2, ... Yn each from a Binomial distribution with parameters p and n (that is, each Yi is the sum of n Bernoulli trails with parameter p). I would like to know the density function for the nth (max) order statistic (i.e., the max of Y1,...Yn). The answer may be in H.A. David's book "Order Statistics", but it's out of our library and will take me a few weeks to have recalled. Thanks, /Keith decker@cs.umass.edu Cooperative Distributed Problem Solving Lab Department of Computer Science University of Massachusetts at Amherst
