Hi: 1) there are N points in the (x-y) space. Each point has has a distribution around it - call it error distribution this distribution has an elliptic shape. its area is proportional to (1+abs(x)+abs(y))**2. 2) is there a measure to tell me something about separation between the distribution? 3) say instead of mapping (x,y) directly, we map (logx, logy). this definitely reduces the error distribution but at the same time compress the distances between points. The measure devised for 2) should be able to reflect this. greatly appreciate any help. chakra
