Perhaps this news group can help ....
There is a lot of discussion in another news group about
Fermat's "Final?" Theorem
For all integers n > 2, there is NO integer solution for
n n n
A + B = C
I have heard conflicting stories that
1) A proof does not exist and Fermat died leaving behind a message
"remarkable proof!" implying that he found a simple proof.
2) A proof DOES exist but it is very complex. Thus, Fermat's simple
proof either eludes us or his "remarkable" proof was flawed.
Can anyone in this news group help? Any recent news about this?
THANKS in advance!
