Hi everybody,

This may not be the appropriate news group (if not, can someone point me
in the right direction?) but ..

Does anyone out there know of Stochastic Activity Networks (SAN),
general comments on a comparison of Stochastic Activity Networks to
Stochastic Petri Nets (SPN)? Why is it not widely used like Stochastic 
Petri Nets (this is my opinion that may be not correct)? Is there any 
software tool for analysis, simulation and evaluation the Stochastic 
Activity Networks available in the public domain? 

Any help is greatly appreciated.
