I am making this inquiry for a friend. Does anyone know if there is a PC
version of BMDP? I would really appreciate any responses to this
question!

Thanks.

Yes, there is BMDP PC-90 (maybe there's an even later release, I don't
know).

There are actually several versions of BMDP, depending on CPU and amount
of RAM. If you have at least an 8088 or 8086 you can use BMDP PC-90.
If you have at least an 80286 there is BMDP 286/extended (takes advantage of
extended memory). If you have at least an 80386 and at least 3MB of extended
memory and a math coprocessor, then you can use BMDP 386/Dynamic.
386/Dynamic will use up to 16MB of extended memory. Call BMDP at
(213) 479-7799 (Pacific time) for more particulars regarding memory
requirements and math coprocessor requirements. Also, they have a pretty
good site license deal, as I recall. As you can imagine with the right
hardware, 386/Dynamic is a very powerful stats package for the PC.

Yes, there is a BMDP PC version. I use it all the time in my consulting
work with physicians. I use the BMDP-386 version, but there should also
be the older version which should work on any machine. (I believe you need
4 megabytes for the 386 version.)
BMDP is also beta-testing a windows version and they already are sending
out info on it.
You can contact BMDP at 1-800-238-2637.

I do not work for BMDP--I simply use their product (along with SPSS).
