A friend is about to have one of her filling redone.  She's been given
the choice between silver and composite.  Ignoring cost (composite is
about $100 more) and color (composite is supposedly more tooth-like
in color), what are the differences between the two?  For the long
term, which is preferred?

Thanks.  Please email responses asap, she is heading to the dentist
later this afternoon.
