     I guess by now you've heard the news -- Larry King has decided to
head out to pasture,
     He has just announced he'll retire this fall after 25 years
pitching softballs as a noncontroversial interviewer on Larry King
Live on CNN.
     Consequently, Larry's most memorable interviews are being
reguritated, starting here with the one that a Gallop Poll determined
was the very best and had the largest number of viewers.

Secretary didn't want to make any of them jealous.

though, that donating or selling my brain was bound to turn me into a
Brussel Sprout and a few other veggies, at least I took comfort in the
fact that I'd die with a nice healthy bank account.

formed minimum of 280 million years ago, meaning that man, in almost
our present form, had inhabited the earth eons before Charles Darwin

As some of you know, Ed Conrad's appearance on Larry King was
postponed a couple of weeks ago and was rescheduled last night. After
watching it, I have to admit that Ed is, perhaps, on to something.

Ed presented his theory "man is as old as coal" and then then Larry
brought in Richard Dawkins via satellite.  The first 30 minutes was Ed
presenting some very impressive physical evidence that were confirmed
by a senior scientist at MIT. I can't remember the scientist's name,
but he did confirm the accuracy of Ed's discovery of petrified bones
-- SOME HUMAN -- between anthracite coal veins.

The most interesting part was when Larry surprised Ed and brought in
David Ian Greig via satellite. I was a bit saddened to see that Greig,
moderator of talk.origins, just dismissed Conrad's discoveries out of
hand and really didn't seem to have anything to counter Ed's argument
with. . . other than to say,
"Well, I'll have to look into this latest finding."

Now I know we have all ridiculed Ed Conrad on this and other forums,
but I have to say that I will have to take another look at this issue
after seeing Ed's superb performance on Larry King Live.

He had Dawkins stumped and speechless. But there has got to be
something wrong with Conrad's theory, isn't there?
