One of the main economical manipulation technique of big industries,in
the USA,against their foreigne concurrents is to demonise them with
completely fabricated propaganda.

The cases of fabrications of propaganda are numerous. Here is a
stastic which clearly demonstrates the fabrication of lies by the US.
FDA and the US. media gainst 2 european products:

Rohypnol
Gamma-OH(GHB,sodium oxybate,Xyrem,etc)

See below:

Results of a 2-1/2 year study by Dr. ElSohly were published in the
May-June issue of the Journal of Analytical Toxicology. The results
continue to be consistent over time in terms of drug prevalence.

Test results for the period 6/96 through 2/99 were as follows:

Total samples 2003

Alcohol 820
Marijuana 363
Other benzos 270
Cocaine 166
Amphetamines 140
GHB 67 <------------------
Opiates 50
Propoxyphene 24
Barbiturates 22
Flunitrazepam(Rohypnol) 7 <------------------
Phencyclidine 1

35% of positive samples contained more than one substance. Four of the
seven flunitrazepam samples contained other substances such as cocaine
and morphine.

All samples were submitted by law enforcement agencies, university
health centers, rape crisis centers and hospital emergency
departments. In all cases, the samples were collected from people who
believed they were victims of substance-related sexual assault.

98% of the samples were collected within 72 hours of ingestion of
suspected substances.

Dr. ElSohly published his method for GC/MS testing of flunitrazepam -
with a cutoff of one nanogram per milliliter - in the Sept. 1997 issue
of the Journal of Analytical Toxicology.

For GHB, there are some cultural reasons for the hysteria, I think.
The "unrouseable sleep" effect of a larger than expected dose,
though generally harmless, frightens people. Also, GHB is
sometimes used by the "club crowd", who do not measure
doses accurately and may even mix it with alcohol or other
depressants, which can make it dangerous.

Also, the FDA and DEA may be worried because GHB is so easy
to make and hard to detect. It has many of the benefits of alcohol,
without some of the side effects.

Though I tend to agree there may also be some worry by the FDA
that GHB availabity and acceptance could affect sales and profits
of the US pharmaceutical companies.

As far as "date rape", of course many drugs can cause sleepiness
to unconsciousness. Unfortunately, once one drug gets some
publicity as a "date rape" drug, a few more people will then decide
to use it for this purpose, the hysteria increases, and the public
demands scheduling.

Rohypnol (and to a lesser extent, other benzos) has one effect used
by rapists that GHB does not: loss of memory. As rape is often a
crime of violence and intimidation, the victim must be awake.
