Indoor humidity meter

For medical reasons, I need to monitor the humidity level in one room of my
house. I've seen an analog humidity meter in the Brookstone catalog for $60 or
so, but I'd prefer a digital model. It seems like I've been through the entire
Yellow Pages and am coming up with no alternative besides research and
commercial equipment that start at $500.
Anyone got any ideas?
