Hi,

I'm looking for some world population information, preferably
both graphic and numerical. I need to know how many people
live within X miles of the coast all over the world. I have
a National Geographic map showing in color populaton density
(four different colors showing inhabitants/square kilometer).
But getting accurate numbers from this would be difficult.
The ranges are:

< 1
1 - 10
10 - 100
over 100

This just isn't accurate enough. I would like to know within
about 5%.

Does ANYONE know where this type of data could be found? I
know it must be somewhere! Lastly, I'm in a hurry. Worst
case I'll make an estimate from my map, but if any one has
ideas, send them via e-mail to killoran@ll.mit.edu.

Thanks for any/all help!
