Hello everyone. I am involved in making an electronic measuring cup for use with foods. Therefore, it needs to be food safe. I am aware of some food safe epoxies and Teflon coatings. However, it is my understanding that these products are not approved for contact with food "straight from the can" but that they need to be approved on a case by case basis. If anyone has any information about the process involved in getting a piece of equipment approved for contact with food, or if anyone knows of possible sources for food safe coatings for metal cylinders, please let me know. Thanks Kurt Thorn ksthorn@phoenix.princeton.edu -- ksthorn@phoenix.princeton.edu the rest of this .sig file is under construction. Unveiling planned shortly.
