Position Summary:

Principal designer/developer of a Bellcore GR-253/TMN q3 interface and
agent for the product, Understand and employ knowledge of all OSI 
protocols (CLNP, TP4, IS-IS routing, FTAM, CMIP, VTP). Software development

skills for this position focus on agent/embedded product development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general
results expected, receives technical guidance on unusual or complex
problems and development projects in the following efforts:

�  Perform design and development of a full seven layer OSI stack port to
pSOS 
�  Integration of OSI and TCP/IP protocol stacks in a single target 
   with local management. 
�  OSI application protocols support (FTAM initiator for software load, 
   VTP for remote terminal access, CMIP) 
�  Support diagnostic activities and determine solutions to complex
   or unusual software problems 
�  Support efforts of development and validation testing activities. 
�  Develop technical documentation in support of product development and
release 
�  Special duties and projects as requested by the supervisor. 

Experience:

Software development experience (>5 years) in a product development role
with solid skills in the following areas:

�  OSI protocols in an embedded (pSOS preferred) target environment 
�  OSI application development/port/configuration in both embedded and UNIX
based environments 
�  UNIX based pSOS/68K cross development 
�  Network management applications/standards (ITU TMN, OSI/CMIP/GDMO, SNMP)

�  CASE support tools

�  Commitment to quality software development methods. 
   and principles.
�  Interest and proficiency at developing maintainable. 
   software. 
�  Thoroughness in development and testing activities. 

Education:
