In his "infinite wisdom" he thought he'd make the sci guys jealous and get them to beg him to return to the sci newsgroups. You're the first one (and only one so far) to fall for his little ploy. Osmium is merely following in BURT's footsteps because he's discovered that most of his postings aren't appreciated anywhere.
