Thou art but a snack to the troll-eaters.

[1] SR and GR have been abundantly confirmed. The classical
    confirmations:

    - orbit of Mercury
    - Michelson-Morley null
    - deflection of starlight by the Sun (admittedly that one's a
bit iffy, mostly because of measurement error)
    - Compton effect/calculations
    - muon observation
    - GPS NTS-2 satellite "flip switch"
    - gamma rays (not) resonating when hitting a moving iron block
    - observation of supernovae

Some of these might also confirm other hypotheses -- e.g., MMX
can also be taken to mean that light is source-invariant.
(Turns out it is but it's also destination-invariant as well.)

The effect is rather small in most cases -- the GPS discrepancy
for instance is 4.46 * 10^-10 sec/sec -- but it is there.

[2] SR has to be taken into account when designing GPS satellites,
the definition of time (the TAI), and particle accelerators.

[3] SR and GR are a bit esoteric to the future of mankind,
although one might contemplate some strange weaponry (a
    la _Ghostbusters_). However, conventional weaponry,
together with weaponry explainable by Newton's
laws (e.g., the dual-frequency sonic beam, tasers,
stickyglue, and fired nets) might be more useful.
Other possibilities include rice grains in each and
everyone's neck, hand, or somewhere, and a tracking
network. (That doesn't require SR, just a rather
vicious mindset to contemplate. Of course SR might
help to some extent for GPS computation, though a
grain of rice can't receive satellite signals--but
surrounding units might have GPS receivers, if
    mass-produced.)
