Hi  Enlighten_Me,  According to current theory/technology,
Planck_Density is the highest density we can measure.

But today's theories/technologies 
may seem very primative indeed to our ancestors.

The causalities are surely there... waiting to be discovered.
Einstein was the best at discovering them because he postulated:

  The future is just as immutable as the past.
  Randomness comes only from a failure to measure some causality.
  
  True randomness, true free-will, don't exist.
  It's only unknowns that makes time seem directional, like entropy.
  
As I said...

Entropy is how dissipated something is, 
similar to heat capacity, in joules per kelvin.

So, for example, infinite Density_and_Heat has no entropy and 
perfect Vacuum_and_Coldness has infinite entropy.

The cosmos is going from no entropy to infinite entropy
according to the second law of thermodynamics and 
the observed value of General_Relativity's cosmological _Constant_, lambda.

Density is what's left-over from the notional start of the big bang,
...that's where gravity came from, and where it's going.
