Hello... I'm trying to do some simple physcis calculations but I'm running into a problem relating temperature and wavelengths of matter. Specfically, I'm trying to answer the questions: A tungsten filament is heated to 800 degress Celcius. What is the wavelength of the most intense radiation? and... Using Wein's displacement law, caculate the surface temperature in degrees celcius if it radiates with a peak wavelength of 650 nm. Can anyone give me a hand with this? Thanks. (please CC any reply to my email address as I do not frequent this group) Joshua Lewis. <jlewis@sonetis.com>
