... showing conclusively that deranged Dutchman Marinus Van Der Lubbe
single-handedly set the Fire by running about the building with his
shirt on fire.

The footage was in the form of an early natural-history movie made by
Leni Riefenstahl. She happened to be filming bats in the Reichstag's
rafters at the time of the attack. The footage is a bit jerky, but you
can see Lubbe's kiss-curl in one frame, and his heel in the next.

The footage remained undisclosed in Nazi government archives for over
seventy years. It was previously feared its release could provide
terrorists with information for further attacks. But they are now
believed to have all died of old age.

There had previously been doubts about the Lubbe story, some conspiracy

freaks even claiming that the Nazi government itself was behind the
Fire. The current release should lay these ideas to rest once for all.

It's never to late to discover the truth.
