Fotòn's rest mass is infinite by definition, cretin--upon absorption in media such as diaelèctrèts or diamagnèts (superconductors), fotòns take on a huge mass as they become plasmòns and slow up. A fotòn's free mass--in perfect vacvum--is ideally nouht; however, there are none such actions, and any instrument metes a heavy plasmòn's time- and span-dependent mass as it fares throuh the material background. A plasmòn becomes your fotòn at infinity, which there is not. -Aut
