Koreans, according to the evidence, though the Chinese picked up on it soon enough. Sometimes it's worth noticing that Christendom and Islam were not the only games in town. No, the Hindus and various East Asians were doing things, and their heirs are just as good at wildly exaggerated claims for credit as we are in the West (Islam was centered west of them); but in this case the claims are right, and anybody who doesn't know it is really not in a position to talk about these things. Listen, instead. And visit the displays in the British Library. -- Dan Drake dd@dandrake.com http://www.dandrake.com/ porlockjr.blogspot.com
