SHANIP ok you are ruling that a theory unproven is a constant the higs field regarding mass is not proven therefor shold not be treated as a constant How warp drive works is that the generator coils throw up a field that changes local space warping it to allow faster than light travel without einstein's postulated time spead up which is a factor if you are going full impulse the effect is like .3 or somthing that's why you rarly see starships go at full impulse only 2/3 so in order to travel truly intersteller distances it would either take generations of real time which the travlers would expierience only a short span or figure out a way to bascly pass up einstienian space as in star trek
