Getting your sustenance from a small farm by tending groves and livestock, fixing fences, and chopping firewood sounds closer to nature than my life does. But even without outdoor exercise I think that it should be obvious that questions about the universe being digitized on a computer are rather silly. To seriously entertain such matters would indicate a certain naivity about software programming as well as an underestimation of what the universe really is. Then again, far be it from me to criticize anyone for being silly on Usenet. That's half the fun, right? Go for it.
