I don't support legalized marijuana because so far there is no way to have a road side test for it like as with booze. However, in Canada, the illegal marijuana trade to the USA is linked with illegal firearms in exchange according to the RCMP and the FBI. It's similar to how things worked when makers of whiskey like Hiram Walker from the USA moved to Canada to produce it for US consumption in the days of US prohibition. He became one of Canada's great liquor distilling success stories and it created a lot of jobs, and tax revenues in Canada. Legalized marijuana would result in standards (as with tobacco products and alcohol) and a good tax base. The shit people drank in the USA back in the Prohibition era wasn't always distilled whiskey, it was often cut with crap. A lot like some of the street drugs are always cut these days. Stopping prohibition resulted in a more reliable and safe product. Which offends many "Libertarians" because they think that the invisible hand of the market should be the measure, not the government. My observations, nothing to do with big oil or anything, but you started it.
