Study the signal transduction systems stimulated by transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-b) both in normal and malignant tissues. Expression cloning strategies will be used to identify novel proteins regulated by TGF-b; their role in signaling by TGF-b and in promoting tumor growth and metastasis will be examined in mouse and tissue culture models. Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. or M.D. and a strong background in cell biology, signal transduction, biochemistry, and molecular biology. The position is available after March 1, 2001. Highly motivated candidates are encouraged to submit their curriculum vitae, description of research interests, and the contact information of three references to: Dr. William P. Schiemann, National Jewish Medical and Research Center. 1400 Jackson Street, B121 Denver, CO 80206 or fax 303-398-1775 or email mccolluml@njc.org.
