Postdoctoral research position available in cancer biology. We have
recently found that CDK5, heretofore thought to be active mainly in
neuronal cell lineages, is also active in several types of cancer.
Inhibition of the kinase CDK5 in cancer cells blocked cell migration,
invasion and metastasis, suggesting that CDK5 may be a central
regulator of these processes, and a potential therapeutic target.

In this position, the fellow will explore the role of CDK5 and its
signal transduction pathways in the control of cancer cell migration
and metastasis. Candidates should have strong research experience in
cell and molecular biology, and should have completed no more than
three years of postdoctoral research. Preference will be given to
