Regulation and function of MMP proteins in ischemia and thrombus
resolution. Postdoctoral Scholar / Staff Research Associate III

Functional Area: Research

Job Type: Full time

Job Description:
A Postdoctoral Scholar Fellowship Position is available in a vascular
biology research laboratory. The research involves transcriptional
analysis and function of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) genes in animal
models of deep venous thrombosis and tissue ischemia. Our laboratory
utilizes a wide range of sophisticated in vivo techniques including
genetically engineered mice, in vivo methods of transcriptional
regulation, and biomechanical studies of vein wall elasticity and
compliance.

This post-doctoral position offers the opportunity to apply molecular
biology techniques and approaches to clinically relevant models of
vascular disease, and will position the successful candidate at the
important junction of genomic and translational research.

Minimum Requirements:
Highly motivated individuals with a recent Ph.D. and experience in
molecular biology, cell signaling, and gene regulation are encouraged
to apply. Applicant must also have both excellent oral and written
communication skills. Our laboratory is productive and well funded, and
the research environment is stimulating.

Please send CV with cover letter and the names of 3 references.
