A postdoctoral research position has become available in the laboratory
of Dr. Ronald L.  Wange at the National Institute on Aging for a
qualified recent graduate with experience in one or more of the following
areas: molecular biology, immunology, molecular genetics, biochemistry or
signal transduction.  The laboratory is involved in investigating the
molecular signaling events that occur in T lymphocytes upon engagement of
their T cell antigen receptor, and in the mechanism by which these
signaling events become altered during T cell tolerization (anergy and
apoptosis) and during the aging process.  The lab is following up past
discoveries about the role of ZAP-70 in TCR signaling, as well as
investigating the importance of other signaling molecules.  The lab
currently is using many techniques to investigate this area, including
protein biochemistry/enzymology, two-hybrid genetic screening,	somatic
genetic screening of Tcells, and molecular biology.

Salary will be based on experience.  You must have fewer than 5 years of
postdoctoral experience.  US residents are particularly encouraged to
