A Post-doctoral position is available in the Biophysics group,
Germany. We are looking for an interdisciplinarily working scientist
to support the further development of our software-suite for
physiology based pharmacokinetic simulation. Main focus of the work
will be the application of PBPK-simulation with our models on real
pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic problems in order to validate new
modules of the software and to test the performance of improvements in
the models. Although the work will be focussed on modeling and
simulation methods, a deep understanding of the physiological and
biophysical processes underlying a pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic
behavior is necessary.

Applicants should have a background and experience in
pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, pharmaceutics or biology. Experience
in PBPK-modeling is desirable but not prerequisite. However, there
must be a strong interest in the application of computer based
methods.The successful candidate must have skills to solve problems
independently, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and
oral communication skills.
