This position is in a new research group at The Jackson Laboratory, and requires a PhD in bioinformatics, statistics, or an equivalent field. Other desired skills include knowledge of Bayesian techniques and/or Hidden Markov Models, and the ability to program in C/C++. A background in molecular or developmental biology would be a plus. The work will be computational in nature, but will also include extensive collaboration with associated experimental efforts. The Jackson Laboratory is one of the world's foremost centers for mammalian genetics research. Located in Bar Harbor, Maine, the lab is adjacent to Acadia National Park.
