--------------------- Postdoctoral position as posted on Postdoc Jobs website: http://www.PosotdocJobs.com -------------------- Argonne National Laboratory Microbiologist -- to develop and apply gel pad microarray technology to detect, identify and track pathogenic microorganisms in non-human vectors and environments. Ph.D. in Medical microbiology, biology, molecular biology or related field. The candidate shall have demonstrated experience with nucleic acid hybridization methods and molecular technologies (e.g. PCR, T-RFLP, automated sequencing), and be generally familiar with microarray technology. The candidate should have demonstrated experience cultivating and manipulating Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) microorganisms. Knowledge of and experience with BSL-3 laboratory operating environments is desired. The candidate must have clear, demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
