Postdoctoral opportunities are available immediately for study of
molecular determinants of autoimmunity and novel mechanisms of
antibody-antigen interactions. Two projects are currently funded in
the laboratory. One concerns the induction of catalytic antibodies to
autoimmune targets and their implication for immunotherapy. Another
project concerns the characterization of immunogenic and structural
determinants of megalin/gp330 relevant to its role as autoantigen in
Heymann Nephritis. Applications are invited from motivated individuals
with a capacity for independent work and a strong background in
protein biochemistry, molecular immunology and/or molecular biology.
Experience with combinatorial libraries and phage display technology
is desirable. UC Davis provides a highly collaborative research
environment with excellent facilities. Salary commensurate with
